It's shaping up to be the year of the electric pickup truck. With Tesla Cybertrucks trickling onto the road and long-promised electrified versions of classics launching this year, battery-powered trucks will lumber into 2024. This week, Ford's F-150 Lightning announced new lower prices after years of increases. Ford announced price drops of up to $5,500 for its first all-electric pickup. Its trims are now: XLT Standard Range for $62,995 (previously $64,995) Flash Extended Range for $67,995 ($73,495) Lariat Extended for $76,995 ($79,495) Platinum Extended for $$84,995 ($84,995) The Lightning has inched up every year since its 2021 announcement when the then-base Pro was offered at just under $40,000. Despite the April price slashing, the Lightning is still higher than its original listings. Range has changed along with price over the years with the Pro initially offering 230 miles.
