That's the marketing message the Dearborn-based automaker will promote in 2026: the capability of each vehicle in its lineup from off-roading in the Bronco, to on-track performance with Mustang, to the top-selling work truck in the F-Series, Michael Cope, Ford's senior director of Consumer Marketing, told the Detroit Free Press, part of the USA TODAY Network. It is ambitious messaging to counter Ford's quality issues in recent years. In 2025, the automaker set a record, ending the year with 152 recalls. Already this year, Ford issued a recall for 119,000 vehicles due to a fire risk. The capability theme also is a stark contrast in messaging from 2025 when Ford billed itself as America's carmaker in its "From America, For America" campaign that ran April 3 through July 7, 2025.
