roughly 15,000 2025 Transit vehicles due to a loss of brake function, which increases the risk of a crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration published a on Feb. 18 for 15,965 vehicles. The vehicles were produced between Jan. 21-April 25, 2025. Certain vehicles may have been built without the cotter pin that secures the brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal, potentially causing the brake booster pushrod to separate from the brake pedal, according to the notice. The vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. Which vehicles are recalled According to the recall report, "certain 2025 Transit vehicles" are impacted. How did the issue occur?
