On January 13, Diamondback Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:FANG) said it received lower prices for its oil production in the fourth quarter compared with the prior three months. Oil prices fell 9.2% during the three months ended December 31, as the market focused more on oversupply and tariff concerns than geopolitical risks. In that environment, Diamondback reported that its average realized oil price dropped to $58.00 per barrel in Q4, down from $64.60 per barrel in the prior quarter. Natural gas pricing weakened as well. In a regulatory filing, the company said its average realized natural gas price was $1.03 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf) after hedging, compared with $1.75 per Mcf in Q3.
