Six Flags St. Louis is among seven amusement parks being sold by its parent company to a Kansas City-based real estate company. Six Flags Entertainment Corp. (NYSE: FUN), the nation's largest theme park operator, on Thursday said it agreed to sell seven of its parks to EPR Properties (NYSE: EPR) for $331 million in cash, subject to certain adjustments. The deal is expected to close by the end of the first quarter or beginning of the second quarter. With total assets of $5.7 billion, Kansas City-based EPR Properties is a diversified experiential net lease real estate investment trust (REIT), focused on leisure and recreation real estate venues. EPR said that when the deal closes, the six U.S. parks changing hands will be leased to and operated by Enchanted Parks (formerly Innovative Attraction Management), which currently runs Water Safari Resort in Old Forge, New York, and Diggerland USA in West Berlin, New Jersey.
