Texas — as part of a broader push to improve operations and the guest experience. In a press release, the company said it is reintroducing park presidents at 10 key parks across North America to “strengthen local leadership and enhance the guest experience.” As part of that move, Pete Carmichael has been named park president at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. Carmichael has more than a decade of experience with the company, according to his LinkedIn profile, serving as park president at Six Flags New England and Six Flags St. Louis before moving to the position of regional general manager of Northeast parks. The company said the shift is designed to give individual parks more direct oversight and accountability at the local level. The leadership change comes during a period of transition for Six Flags.
