Post-Maduro, I am concerned about Canadian heavy Quick Insights If Venezuelan crude supply ramps up, it could compete directly with Canadian heavy oil miners such as CNQ and SU by affecting volumes sent to U.S. Gulf Coast refineries, making these stocks less attractive to investors. Smaller oil stocks are currently unattractive due to heightened economic and political uncertainty, slower recovery in downturns, and vulnerability to weak commodity prices and lack of scale. Analysts flagged HighPeak Energy (HPK) for leveraged risk, New Era Energy & Digital (NUAI) for lack of income, and Prairie Operating (PROP) for dilution risk and losses as least attractive.
