Avangrid's major grid investments continue to strengthen system for enhanced storm response and recovery ORANGE, Conn., January 23, 2026 BUSINESS WIRE )--Avangrid, Inc., a leading energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, today announced that its utility companies, New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E), Central Maine Power (CMP) and United Illuminating (UI), continue to monitor and prepare for the potential impacts of severe winter weather, including frigid cold, expected across the Northeast this weekend. "Avangrid continues to make significant investments toward strengthening and modernizing the grid, which puts our utility companies in a better position to prepare for and respond to severe weather events," said Avangrid CEO Jose Antonio Miranda . "As we continue monitoring the weather patterns and likely track of Winter Storm Fern, Avangrid personnel will be ready to respond as needed to any impacts in the communities we serve."
