and Portugal as engines of Europe's reindustrialization, leveraging their growing advantage in clean and affordable power. The call came under the umbrella of the Iberian Industry and Energy Transition Initiative (IETI), a cross-industry effort led by McKinsey & Company alongside companies including ACS, Galp, Iberdrola, Moeve, Naturgy, Repsol and Técnicas Reunidas. The group presented an updated IETI Index tracking progress on energy transition and industrial competitiveness across the Iberian Peninsula. According to McKinsey's analysis, Spain and Portugal could together unlock up to €1 trillion in value by 2030, lift GDP by roughly 15%, boost industrial exports by around 20%, and create close to one million mostly skilled jobs—if policy execution accelerates.
