(Nasdaq: IDCC), a wireless, video and AI technology research and development company, will demonstrate new milestones in AI-enhanced services and energy efficient edge intelligence at the fifth annual 6G@UT Forum, taking place at The University of Texas at Austin. Managing the overhead of AI model training is a key challenge to applying AI throughout the wireless network. InterDigital is a founding member of the 6G@UT Research Center and has partnered with researchers from The University of Texas at Austin and Keysight Technologies on real-time Over-the-Air Federated Learning (OTA-FL) training, where the aggregation of model updates happens directly "over-the-air."
