It will be the chain's largest gas station, with 40 pumps available in Mission Viejo, California, about 49 miles from Los Angeles. It's the former site of a Bed, Bath & Beyond in a commercial area near a Krispy Kreme location, a Dairy Queen Chill & Grill and a Jack in the Box. The gas station won't have a convenience store, but the plan features a 17,234-square foot “fueling canopy,” with 20 fueling dispensers and 40 pumping stations. An accessory office/breakroom building will be available for employees, according to 2025 documents from the Mission Viejo planning and transportation commission The new gas station will be open to Costco members, from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. A second location is in the works for Honolulu, Hawaii, in the community of Kapalama Kai, with an opening targeted for 2027.
