Summary Lithium Americas is set to bring its first mine into production towards the beginning of 2021 and recently increased its production expectations. The company's second mine is the second-largest lithium mine in the world and is wholly owned by LAC; production is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2022. Much of Lithium Americas' future profits rely on the price of lithium, though even a bearish outlook on the metal's price shouldn't prevent strong returns for LAC investors. With initial production still over a year away, investing in the company doesn't come without risk, but these risks tend to be overblown and contribute to my undervalued assessment. In its current state, I believe Lithium Americas to be incredibly undervalued and expect to see strong growth into the future, making this company my favorite long position.
