The Slack message exchanges, from 2022, were released on Wednesday, March 11, in connection with the Department of Justice's antitrust lawsuit against the live entertainment giant. Their release came days after Live Nation and the Justice Department settled the case . The lawsuit accused the entertainment giant of operating an illegal monopoly over the industry. Live Nation manages Waukee's Vibrant Music Hall. Iowa Attorney General Bird, who in 2024 joined a separate but related suit by dozens of states against Live Nation , announced Friday that Iowa also had settled with Live Nation. Previously, her office had denied there was a settlement, contrary to reports by national news outlets that Iowa was among states court documents showed planned to accept it. Another 25 states and the District of Columbia have rejected the settlement and are continuing their case against Live Nation, which had gone to trial in New York.
