The agreement arrives at a pivotal moment as organizations accelerate deployments of AI agents — and struggle to govern access, permissions and outputs for these non-human identities. ServiceNow's $2.85 billion acquisition of Moveworks in March positioned the company to build AI agents at scale. The Veza deal provides the complementary piece: identity governance to secure those agents. The acquisition price also signals strategic urgency. Veza's valuation nearly doubled from $415 million in August 2023 to $808 million in its April 2025 Series D round. ServiceNow's $1 billion offer represents a 24% premium over that recent valuation, reflecting how critically ServiceNow views Veza's capabilities.
