Canadian payment processor Nuvei jumps amid no apparent news [Seeking Alpha]

Advent International is in advanced discussions with Nuvei ( NVEI ) for a deal that may be announced soon, according to a WSJ report on March 16. Nuvei responded to the WSJ report and said that in connection with expressions of interest received by the company, the board formed a committee to evaluate expressions of interest as well as any other strategic alternatives that may be available. Nuvei ( NVEI ) didn't immediately respond to Seeking Alpha email request for comment. A Raymond James analyst earlier this month said he believed that Nuvei ( NVEI could fetch $36 a share in a potential takeover. "All told, it is not shocking to see PE interest given where valuation is and the compelling IRR math, and we think the probability of a deal reaching the finish line is more than likely," Raymond James analyst John Davis wrote in a note.
