Just three months after the issue came to a head at e3, Sony is relenting on its restrictionist policies and beginning an extended cross-play beta for Fortnite, beginning today. That means that PS4 players will be able to play Fortnite with those on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in addition to the mobile and PC users they could already play with, and a blog post from Sony indicates that they'll be able to share progression between platforms going forward, as well.
