However, that call has not been a good one with the stock losing 16% compared to a 26% gain for the S&P 500. One of the reasons that Qantas stock has been under pressure is the scandals that it has been involved in as discussed in a previous report . In my view, Qantas did remain a buy despite the scandals on further recovery in travel demand in Australia and the Asia Pacific.
