More than 250,000 Australians visited Sin City in 2025, even though it meant flying from another U.S. city or driving a rental car there. No doubt more will come with convenient non-stop service. The new seasonal Las Vegas–Sydney service will run through mid-March 2027. Qantas says it will save customers up to five hours in travel time by eliminating the need for connections through another US city. That might be a slight exaggeration, as it is only a 50-minute flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Las Vegas (LAS), but landing at LAX at the Bradley International Terminal, getting off, going through customs, etc., and walking or taking a bus to a domestic flight to repeat the process can certainly add up. The Sydney (SYD) to Las Vegas (LAS) flights will operate as QF55, with the inaugural flight taking off on December 29, 2026. The service will operate until March 12, 2027.
