Superdry Gets Offer Approach from Julian Dunkerton [MarketWatch]

In a response for the share rise of 120% in the earlier trading, the British clothing brand said Friday that it has formed an independent committee to consider the request. Advertisement Shares at 1104 GMT are up 100% to 42 pence, but down 67% on a 12-month basis. The company said Dunkerton is engaged in discussions with potential financing sponsors and the options may include a possible cash offer for the entire share capital not already owned by him. "These discussions are at a preliminary stage and no decisions have been made," it added. Superdry added that it continues to explore cost-saving options as part of its turnaround strategy, but said there isn't certainty if the options will progress.
