The much-talked-about traffic roundabout on Yucca Loma Road in Apple Valley is a step closer to construction. Town officials announced Wednesday that construction of the roundabout at Yucca Loma and Rincon roads is expected to begin in early 2027. The project should be completed by the end of 2027, according to town officials, who said the new project is designed to improve safety, reduce congestion and keep traffic moving. Town officials told the Daily Press on Thursday that the construction company that will create the roundabout has not been determined. "The project will be advertised for construction, and the lowest, responsive bidder will be awarded the construction contract," the town stated.
