The Wall Street Journal , which reviewed a transcript of the meeting, reported that Simo told staff the company needed to stop being distracted by "side quests" and pivot aggressively toward coding and business users. Reuters confirmed that senior executives including CEO Sam Altman and chief research officer Mark Chen are actively determining which product lines to deprioritize, with staff notifications expected in the coming weeks.
