NEW YORK, 23 mei 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- KPS Capital Partners, LP ("KPS") heeft vandaag aangekondigd dat het een definitieve koopovereenkomst heeft gesloten met Tate & Lyle PLC (LSE: TATE.L, "Tate & Lyle"). Onder het contract wordt Tate & Lyle's resterende eigendomsbelang van 49,7% in Primary Products Investments LLC ("Primient" of het "Bedrijf") verworven voor $ 350 miljoen. De transactie wordt naar verwachting eind juli 2024 afgerond en is afhankelijk van de gebruikelijke afsluitingsvoorwaarden en goedkeuringen.Primient is een toonaangevende producent van voedingsmiddelen en industriële ingrediënten gemaakt van plantaardige, hernieuwbare grondstoffen. Primient werd opgericht in 1906 onder de naam A.E. Staley Manufacturing Co. en produceert nu meer dan 100 jaar producten op basis van maïs in de Verenigde Staten. Het bedrijf produceert van maïs afgeleide producten die worden gebruikt in een breed scala aan toepassingen, waaronder koolzuurhoudende dranken, zoetwaren, verpakkingstoepassing
