Currently, Toyota is one of the few automakers not taking massive charges for misjudging the U.S. EV market. Analysts don't expect an EV setback for Toyota, due to its pipeline of more affordable EVs. Early this decade, Toyota (NYSE: TM) dared to be different. While just about every automaker was touting multi-billion-dollar investments in electric vehicles (EVs) and paying minimal attention to hybrid options, Toyota stood its ground.
