Since that was published, we've been informed the intention is for Underwood to play at least part of the game. Bryce Underwood , the face of Michigan football , is expected to suit up for the Wolverines' scrimmage in a limited role this weekend at Michigan Stadium. It's not clear how long or how many snaps Underwood will get in the Maize vs. Blue spring game on Saturday, April 18 (2 p.m., Big Ten Network), but the expectation is for him to make an appearance, a person with knowledge of the situation told the Free Press on condition of anonymity because they were not permitted to speak publicly. Big Ten Network analyst Jake Butt reported that Underwood will play the first quarter. Coach Kyle Whittingham said earlier this month that a number of U-M's proven commodities would not suit up , but it was not entirely clear who he was talking about.
