The closures are part of a plan to help the pizza chain improve for the future. The parent company, Yum! Brands, told investors that about 250 Pizza Hut restaurants will close in the first half of 2026. That number equals about 3 percent of all Pizza Hut restaurants in the United States. The company did not share a list of the exact restaurants that will shut their doors. Officials said the closing locations are typically underperforming , meaning they are not generating sufficient sales. Pizza Hut is also looking at other big changes or a possible sale. Pizza Hut has been a well-known pizza place for many years. People recognize its red roof design and dine-in restaurants. But in recent months, other pizza chains have been growing faster.
