American Express recently tapped Turner Construction to lead the base building construction, including the tower's core and shell, at its new state-of-the-art global headquarters at 2 World Trade Center, the financial services giant confirmed with Construction Dive. Officials did not share the total project cost. The project will span nearly 2 million square feet across 55 floors , according to a Wednesday news release from American Express.
