The Turner hospital project, a partnership between Kaleida Health and Brooks-TLC Hospital System, is valued at $224m, with New York providing $74m in state funding to support the construction. Scheduled to open by the end of 2028, the new facility will occupy a 30-acre property. The single-storey, 133,000ft facility will accommodate more than 260,000 patient visits annually. It will increase the Emergency Department's capacity by adding seven additional treatment bays, bringing the total from nine to 16. The hospital will feature 15 medical-surgical beds and five observation beds, along with operating and procedure rooms. Other amenities include a helipad, imaging services, and clinics offering both primary and specialised healthcare. Fredonia-based S. St. George General Contracting has taken charge of early site operations as a subcontractor for Turner. Its responsibilities encompass setting up temporary staging areas, installing perimeter fencing, and grading the land.
