More fried rice products, some of which were sold at Trader Joe's nationwide, have been recalled over potential glass contamination, according to the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service. The recall notice posted by the agency on March 3 is an expansion of a previous announcement about chicken fried rice from Ajinomoto Foods North America , an Oregon-based food manufacturer, in mid-February. It came after the manufacturer notified the agency about customer complaints. "Upon further investigation, the establishment determined that a vegetable source ingredient, specifically carrots, was the likely source of the glass contamination, which also impacted the additional products subject to this expanded recall," the FSIS said. No injuries have been reported so far. Which products are potentially affected? According to the FSIS, Ajinomoto Foods North America is recalling 36,987,575 pounds of ready-to-eat and not-ready-to-eat chicken and pork fried rice, ramen and shu mai items
