Nissan's North American headquarters is based in Franklin, Tennessee, with major manufacturing operations in Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee, and Canton, Mississippi. “Wow! Congratulations to Nissan, and Christian Meunier, Americas Chairman, on the tremendous success they are having in the U.S.,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They have moved most of their production to our great Country, largely because of Tariffs, and the results are AMAZING!!!” While Meunier reacted saying he was “honored” for Trump's praise, he also noted that the recognition reinforces “what we already know: when you invest with purpose people notice it,” he wrote on a Linkedin post. “We appreciate the President's supportive comments and for recognizing our tremendous success over the last few months,” Nissan North America spokesperson Lloryn Love-Carter told The Tennessean. “We are proud of our more than 40 years of manufacturing investment in the U.S. and remain focused on localization and building vehicles
