According to published reports, Porsche is exploring options to sell its 45% interest in Bugatti Rimac in a transaction valued at roughly $1.2 billion. Parties said to be involved in discussions include investment firms HOF Capital and BlueFive Capital. The talks remain ongoing, and no agreement has been finalized. Bugatti Rimac was formed in 2021 when Volkswagen transferred the Bugatti brand into a joint venture between Porsche AG and Rimac Group. The partnership combined Bugatti's heritage in ultra-luxury performance cars with Rimac's expertise in advanced electric powertrain technology. The venture delivered its first jointly developed model, the Bugatti W16 Mistral, in August 2022. Sources familiar with the matter indicate that any transaction involving Porsche's stake in Bugatti Rimac could also include its separate 24% ownership interest in Rimac Group.
