Brewdog staff and investors have reacted angrily to the sale of the company to a US company for £33m. The Aberdeenshire-based independent brewer and pub chain went into administration on Monday before parts of the business were bought by beverage and cannabis firm Tilray. The deal includes the company's UK brewing operations, brand, and 11 pubs, and saw 733 staff being transferred over to the new owners. But a further 38 bars - including branches in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow - which were not included in the rescue deal immediately closed with the loss of 484 jobs. Brewdog's administrators, AlixPartners, confirmed that equity holders - including those who invested in the firm's Equity for Punks scheme - would see no return from the deal.
